Spain has two cities with more than one million people and a long tail of cities between 350,000 and 800,000. One of the ten is not on the mainland at all.

How to play
Each city is a red dot on the map from the start. The dots show where the cities are, not which one is which.
A numbered list on the left shows the ranks 1 to 10. Type the city names in any order.
You can start to type right away. You do not need to click the answer box first.
A correct name turns the dot and its rank green and shows the name and the population.
Local names, old names and English names count. Accents are not required.
A timer tracks your run. The quiz saves your best score and best time.
If you are stuck, use the give up button. The map then shows the cities you missed.

Madrid is the biggest city with about 3.3M people.
What's not included — and why
Bilbao is the 11th city, just below Alicante. Córdoba and Valladolid follow.
Ceuta and Melilla are on the map but not on the list. Each has fewer than 90,000 people.
Good to know
Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is in the Canary Islands, about 1,800 km from Madrid.
Zaragoza has more people than Málaga, but Málaga has grown faster since 2010.
Palma is on Mallorca. Its full name is Palma de Mallorca, and both names count.
