The deck holds 196 flags drawn from our 197-country dataset — every UN member and observer state plus Taiwan and Kosovo, with one asset exception noted below. That means the notorious lookalike pairs are all in here, so reading the details matters as much as recognizing the color scheme.
How to play
Two ways to play: Guess the Country from its Flag (see the flag, type the country) or Click the Country from its Flag (see the flag, click it on the world map — a double test of flags and locations).
Flags come up in random order, so every run is different.
Typing is lenient — minor typos and accepted alternate names still count.
The timer counts up, and you can give up at any point to see the flags you missed.

What's not included — and why
Malta is the single country left out of the flag modes — its flag isn't available in the quiz's flag asset set, so we skip it rather than show a wrong or broken flag. Malta still counts in every other world-countries mode.
Good to know
Nepal flies the only national flag that isn't a quadrilateral — it's shaped like two stacked pennants.
Chad and Romania fly nearly identical blue-yellow-red tricolors; only a subtle shade of blue separates them.
Switzerland and Vatican City are the only two countries with square flags.
Indonesia and Monaco share the same red-over-white design — the official proportions are essentially the only difference.
